Design Tó Collection stair runners for De Roode Loper

De Roode Loper - the company known in The Netherlands as the premier specialist in stair runners - commissioned me to design a collection of stair runners inspired by Kilim style. Following an intensive and enjoyable design process, the 'Tó Collection' was launched in March 2026. The name draws inspiration from the symbols and colours found in the traditional weaving techniques of the Navajo - perhaps the most well-known Native American people- and translates to 'Waterfall', a particularly fitting name for stair runners. As the collection is still very new, the samples are currently in De Roode Loper's showrooms, but we are awaiting photographs of completed projects; the actual orders are currently being hand-knotted for us. In the meantime, AI has helped us create beautiful visualizations of the collection.
